Say Hello
We like hearing from readers. Some of our favourite articles started with a message along the lines of "I tried to plan this and could not find a straight answer", and the best corrections we have ever received came from people who know a subject far better than we do. Whatever brings you here, we would be glad to hear from you.
How to reach us
The simplest way is email: contact@ontsportfishingguide.org. Messages go straight to the small team that writes and edits the magazine, and one of us will read yours. We try to answer within a few working days, though a busy week or a long weekend away can occasionally slow us down.
What we love to receive
- Weekend ideas: a game that saved a rainy afternoon, a day trip you keep recommending, a party trick for hosting outdoors.
- Questions about an article: if something in a guide was unclear, tell us which part and we will look at it again.
- Corrections: a detail that is out of date or simply wrong. Our process is explained on Fixing Mistakes Openly.
- Topic suggestions: what would you like us to write about next?
- Stories of your own: how your scavenger hunt, picnic or garden party turned out. We read every one, even when we cannot reply at length.
What we cannot help with
We are an editorial team, not a booking service or a shop. We cannot reserve venues, sell or deliver anything, arrange rentals or give personal safety, legal or financial advice. If your question needs that kind of help, we would rather point you towards the right kind of expert than guess.
Before you write
A few details help us reply faster: the title or link of the article you are writing about, what you noticed or would like to know, and whether you would like an answer or are simply passing on a thought. If you are suggesting a topic, a line about the situation you were in when you went looking for help is often more useful than the topic itself.
Your message and your privacy
We use your email only to read and answer it, and we do not add anyone to mailing lists. Details are on How We Handle Data.
Looking for something to read first?
If you came here wondering where to start, the newest guides are a good bet. Try How to Make a Scavenger Hunt for Any Age for a game that works with every age group, or browse the events and games sections. To learn a little more about the people behind the pages, visit About On The Spot Magazine.
Before you hit send
Your message reaches the writers
Emails come straight to the three of us, and each one gets read, usually within a few working days. Weekend ideas, corrections and stories about how a plan turned out are all welcome.
We are writers rather than a booking desk, so we cannot reserve venues, arrange rentals or sell anything, but we will gladly point you to the article that fits.

Useful things to include
Nothing here is required; it simply makes our answer quicker and more useful.
- The title or link of the article your message is about.
- For a correction, what looks wrong and where you found the right detail.
- For a topic idea, the plan you were making when you went looking for help.
- Whether you would like a reply or are just sharing how your weekend went.
